I'm not in your service area. Can I still join?
Absolutely! Confidence Builders Academy is entirely online, so you can take the class from any place you have an internet connection.
What apps do I need?
You can access our virtual classroom from any browser. We currently use Zoom for our live classes, and have an optional Facebook group for members only.
Do I need to be tech savvy?
We've got a list of tutorial videos that can help you learn to use classroom, upload videos, and more. We are happy to help you out if this is your first time using these features.
Do I need a smartphone?
To get the most out of our program, you will need to share video of your dog. A smartphone is the easiest way to film and upload video quickly. However, you can also use a tablet or laptop.
How long is this program?
Confidence Builders Academy is designed to provide long term support to dogs and their humans. Helping fearful dogs - especially semi-feral dogs - can take time, and we want to be with you as long as you need support. We require a minimum 3 month commitment because we don't want you or your pup to feel rushed. After that, you can remain a member of the Academy for as many months, or even years, as you want!
What if I can't attend a live class?
We'll record classes so that you can view any that you miss. We encourage you to attend live classes so that you can have your questions answered in real time, and learn from your peers. Additionally, you and your dog will have opportunities for spotlights, where you can get live coaching. Currently classes are once a week. However, as our program grows, we may add more class times, allowing you more flexibility.
